A mail in service for adding bluetooth to the apple iPod Classic 5th 6th and 7th Gen. The bluetooth circuit board will be wired up to the headphone jack (which will still work as normal too) and a 3000mah battery will also be installed. There is also an option to replace the original hard drive with an iflash quad and micro sd card/s.

The bluetooth board used is the KCX_BT_EMITTER v1.7. uses Bluetooth 4.1 Technology and does support dual channel audio.
To pair your Bluetooth earphones/ headphones/ speaker: Use the lock switch to turn on power to the Bluetooth module, put your earphones in pair mode, click the pair button by pushing in the lock switch. You can see a demonstration of the pairing process in this video here at the 2:45 minute mark.

Please note:
The lock switch has been converted to a power switch for the bluetooth module. By installing this mod you will lose lock switch functionality.
If you select “bluetooth only” and you have a slim version i will also have to upgrade the rear housing to a thick version as well in order to fit with the original hard drive.
Is not fully compatible with airpods pro 2s, 3s or other earphones that use apples proprietary H2 chip. As they have been designed to require more bandwidth than what the standard bluetooth spec will allow, hence why they only really work properly with other apple products. We have had reports saying they connect but the audio sounds choppy. Other earlier airpods models have been reported to work.
Simply select the mod you would like completed from the drop down menu, then checkout. Once you have paid you will be sent an email with the ‘send to’ address. Please package the iPod appropriately and include your name and email on a piece of paper so i don’t get the package confused. Once i have received the package i will complete the mod as soon as possible and send you an email when it is done and ready to be sent back.

Didn’t need to wait long at all. Connects to my headphones easily and sounds great when out and about. Connection is not very stable to my bookshelf speakers but not worried as I’m very happy to be free from my smartphone or wires when listening to music on the go. I highly recommend this upgrade to anyone who is trying to give up their smartphone. If you are worried about losing the hold switch, it has not affected me. You could also put your iPod in a protective case or sleeve that will prevent something from touching the wheel.I also had the Taptic feedback chip installed and it’s very satisfying when scrolling through songs.
